Membership Terms and Conditions of Use – MURILLA FITNESS CENTRE
Swipe Card Entry
Swipe card access is granted to all membership holders from 3.00am - 10.00pm everyday. The swipe card provides access via the front gate, and small gym room back entrance and access to the combined shower/disability toilet facility only. A $15.00 refundable deposit is required for swipe cards, refunded via bank deposit upon return of the card to Management. Swipe cards must be returned undamaged for refund of deposit.
Members are responsible for their own swipe card and a replacement card will cost $15.00.
Every member requires their own swipe card as individual entry details must be registered each visit. No sharing of cards.
In case of an emergency, members must follow the emergency procedures displayed in the gym & notify the supervisor and/or the appropriate emergency service.
Memberships are not transferrable.
Membership Fees Payment Policy
Membership fees for the various membership terms on offer are paid in full upfront and non-negotiable. Payment may be made by cash, bank transfer (receipt must be provided), or via card facility at the gym (+1.9% on purchases over $200).
Members must provide Photo ID, which will be scanned and kept on file. All membership forms, including membership contract, medical form and liability waiver must be completed and signed in person before swipe card will be issued.
A renewal reminder message will be sent to the Member’s contact mobile number as the expiry date draws close.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Under the terms & conditions of this agreement your membership may be terminated under the following conditions

Permanent Disability or Sickness

The Centre requires a written request advising of the disability or sickness.

A letter from medical practitioner detailing the permanent disability or sickness

Fees applicable: Administration fee of $20 of amount paid. Any refunds requested are calculated according to the fees applicable for the period the membership was used in comparison to the total fees paid, then deducting the admin fee.

Termination for any other reason
• On a case by case basis at the discretion of the Manager.

Termination by Stenhouse Fitness
The Centre Management has the right to terminate this agreement under the following conditions:

When a client’s conduct/behavior is deemed by staff or management to jeopardize the safety, security and wellbeing of Centre personnel, property and clients.

Carefully read the Members code of conduct which is on this website.

When a member does not obey the rules of use of the swipe card entry system above.
Requests for Temporary Suspension of Membership
Application for temporary suspension of membership due to Holiday or period of absence must be made IN ADVANCE with Management and will be considered on a case by case basis within membership terms of 3mths/6mths or 12mths only. Minimum period to request suspension is 2 weeks.
Allowance for Shift Workers working consistent shift swings.
For Shift workers working a long-term consistent 2/2 or 1/1 week shift swing, who do not reside in the local area for the period off-shift, an extension may be made to the expiry date accordingly. This is on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Manager, and full details of employment and proof of shift will be required.
